My second was born at 35 weeks and weighed 5lbs 5oz and came home in less then 24 hours. No problems

Her brother was born at 36 1/2 weeks and weighed 6lbs 13 oz and came home the same time. However they measured him full term and said some babies that have had stress develope faster. True for all my first three

babies born early fare better in this order
White girls
white boys
black girls
black boys

Not sure why but my third wa sborn at 30 weeks and that is what the told me in the NICU she came home in 14 days weighing 3lbs 14oz that day

I had an incompetent cervix - went on complete bed rest in hosptial at 19 weeks. stayed until 32 weeks when she was born emergency c-section.  She was 5lbs as I had two courses of steriods.. she would have been healthy but I had an untreated UTI that created an infection in my blood that gave her e-coli.. but she was only in the NICU for 10 days.. she is going to be 8 this year and very healthy.  You are considered full term at 37 weeks... I am sure you and the baby will be fine! !Best of Luck
