Another problem I'm having is feeling my contractions.  I was hooked up Saturday and they came in with pain meds and told me after monitoring my contractions they were giving me something to ease my pain... But I didn't feel miserable. The only thing killing me was my lower left back... Any ideas?

Thanks ya'll! Helps a lot. I'm not rushing him, but will definitely be walking more once he hits full term. I'm miserable.

I was at 3 cm at 33 weeks and had my first daught a week before her due date (induced). My dic said I was already having contractions when I went in but couldn't feel them. He said it would have only been a day or so until I went on my own

Our childbirth educator was dilated to 4 cm for 2 weeks before having her son. It definitely is your body prepping for delivery, but may still be a few weeks. Then again, it may be very soon! Just make sure you've got everything ready in case it does happen sooner than later!

its a good sign that your body is preparing for baby but there is no way of really know how much longer you have till labour begins... some woman can stay at a certain point for weeks... but at least you are already taht far when it does kick in! Congrats and good luck!

I was 36 weeks when I had my son, he was my first. I was 3 cm when I went to the hospital and I had him an hour later. I also walked around a lot and that helped him come down. Good luck and congrats!
