So 7 days left and I've tried everything pineapple sex and some walking nothing is working and I'm too scared to try the castor oil any advice? I have a Dr appointment today hoping he will do a membrane sweep or induce me soon...

Try the accupressure points. That will probably put you in labor.

Are you in the UK? I found midwives are reluctant to induce us before 42 weeks unless there is a medical reason and would rather us go on our own.. it seems in the US the doctors want these baby's out when it suits them (or the parents) but I'm now 40 weeks and am desperate to get this baby out so would love the option to get induced early x

I'm getting induced because i don't want to wait any longer plus inn order to make sure we have a sitter for our other kids and things like that

Waiting is definitely one of the hardest parts of pregnancy to me. But your baby will come when he/she wants too. I would keep up the walking though. Definitely don't do the castor oil my best friend got so sick from trying that method.

You have to eat like seven pineapples. I'm I'm the same boat as you but I've learned to just deal and accept it

What about a labor massage, it wont induce labor but if you are ready it will help it along.

With stripping membranes there is a small chance it will false start labor.  That happened to me and I ended up with a c section.  With my next two I had vaginal deliveries.

I wouldn't rush your body, I don't personally think that the risk of a c section is worth it

Try to enjoy it, I know it stinks but everyone keeps telling me I'll miss it when she's out :) take the time you have and make sure you're completely ready, maybe do some extra decorating in his/her room :)

As much as we hate to hear it an accept it, waiting for labor is the biggest patience test in history.  I had 2 membrane sweeps and I still it was 4 almost 5 days later before my water broke. It's when the baby is ready,  not us.
