Plus its very stressful to stop cold turkey. That could be bad for baby. So any decent doctor wont abandon u. They probably will just keep a closer eye on u and baby.
Im on morphine and norco plus plaquenil. Ive seen several doctors to make sure ot wont hurt the baby. Im 30weeks tomorrow. My pain specialist is great we work together. Tell ur doctor. As far as every doctor ive seen the pain pills wont hurt my baby. I unfortunately didnt go into remission so my pain is really intense and i will have to use pain killers all yhe way thru. Only down side is he'll have to be weened off after birth.
Tell ur doctors that way u and them can make the best choices for u both.
I have had dilaudid and morphine iv while being in the hospital and am currently taking Tylenol 3 for migraines but its up to each individual doctor to figure out what the best plan for you is! Good Luck!
I would tell him u are pregnant...but I was told by a hospital one time (dont go on just my word though) that narcotics used correctly during pregnancy is the only pain killers u can use during pregnancy besides Tylenol cause they bypass the uterus and don't get to the baby....I still don't take narcotics cause I don't know if that is true but u may can do research to see
Most likely they will lower your dose but I doubt they will take you right off. They will find a balance for you and the baby. Its better to let them know so they can pick a plan safest for you both.
