4 weeks pregnant. Need advice urgently please <3
Dear all.
My wife and I are both 24 years old.
In february 2012 we found out we were pregnant, we were so happy and excited. We shared the news with everyone. We found out she was 4weeks pregnant. I took my wife to a Gynie at 5 1/2 weeks, who did an ultrasound and saw a gestational sac but no fetal pole, we also saw no heart beat. Doc did blood tests and insured us that all was ok. She advised us to come back at 7weeks. We went back at 7weeks for a vaginal ultrasound. Still no heart beat, we saw something that looked like a fetal pole stuck to the uterine wall. The doc immediately took blood tests and everything was out of date in terms of bhcg and progesterone. They did a DNC a day later. The dr says it was a blighted ovum. We were devastated.. We as a couple had many arguments and blamed one another for a while, a couple of months went by and we just prayed about it and left it at that.
It is the 18th of July. My wife and I went to see a dr that deals with fertility and we were meant to start natural treatment via dieting etc and starting from there. The weekend came and we went to buy some groceries for our fertility treatment. My wife realised she had skipped her period, she took a pregnancy test.. to our surprise, the test was positive. She took 2 more after that which both confirmed "positive". I called the dr and explained everything to her. Dr immediately requested a (bhcg) test, pregnancy and progesterone test. Tests confirmed on the Sunday that she had a 860bhcg result and a 57progesterone count. 2 days later, the same test was done and results were 1036bhcg and still 57progesterone count. My wife is taking some vitamin tablets which our dr has prescribed. If her counts drop in the next week dr will put her on progesterone supplements. My wife is somewhere around 3-4 weeks according to our doctor.
Please can someone give me some advise. I am worried and I dont want her to get hurt or us hurting again after 2 previous m/c's.

Great news!!! So glad everything is going well for you and your wife. It's amazing when you see/hear the heartbeat for the first time. Good luck to you both and do keep us updated.
I'm 31 weeks didnt get a heart beat until a bit into it i think it was 12 weeks. i didn't feel her move until 22 weeks have hope and pray.goodluck i will pray for you n your wife and keep you in my thoughts :)
Congratulations! Hope this continues to be great progress for you both! I miscarried as well at almost 19wks in 2009, but just had my son 16 days ago he has me awake cuz he needed to be fed! I'll keep you 3 in my prayers!! Continue keeping posted!

Congratulations... i am so happy for you and your wife that things are working out. !! The hearbeat moment is amazing as i too recently saw my babys heart beat and all i did was cry haha. I hope thatvthe rest of he pregnanxy goes just as well for you both. Thank you for keeping is updated. :-)

I just wanted to keep you posted.. Today my wife is 6w 5d pregnant. So in the last 2 weeks she's been in and out for blood tests. Monitoring her BHCG and progesterone levels. Her Bhcg is 63 000 and Progesterone is 49 according to yesterdays results. Her progesterone has been up and down. Doctor said that we shouldn't worry about that as it is above 30 which is safe. The dr is continuing to monitor her though. So, Last saturday.. I decided to take my wife for an ultrasound.. she was hesitant as she said it was a little early and we won't see anything.. So i basically forced her lol... So we got there... Dr did an ultrasound, saw a fetal pole. I then requested dr to do a vaginal ultrasound (my wife didn't want to) hehe. Dr did the scan and showed us our baby. Baby was 44mm which is within normal size. Yolk sac looks good. We also were able to detect a heart beat.. The heart beat was at 115bpm. My wife and I were so shocked and happy. It was a beautiful moment for us. That heart beat was all I needed to be more relieved. We have a dvd of this. My wife had tears in her eyes. I also did. Blessings for you. In the meantime, My wife has gained a few kgs, (not much) and her breasts are larger than usual. She has no morning sickness, no vomiting, she just sleeps a lot. tired. People were already asking questions if she's pregnant because she has swollen in her face a little. Yesterday, My wife called me and said she felt its time to tell people shes pregnant. So we have now told everyone. Its nerve wrecking to know everyone knows but I support my wife and I want her to be comfortable. Best of regards to all of you. We go for another ultrasound on Saturday. God is good. No matter what happens our faith remains in the Lord. Im so thankful I got to hear my baby's heart beating and to know that life is inside her womb right now. love to all. A&L

yes its best to keep it quite aslong as possible as u can bring bad eye to your family

I'm 4 weeks & 3 days due march 27. Your wife and I may be having our babies around the same time! Best wishes.
So glad to hear things are progressing nicely. I just wanted to share my story in the hopes that it will bring you some comfort.
I am 31 years old and married for 8 years. When i was 18 i lost twins very early on and was devastated thinking it was my fault and i did something wrong. In the end the babies just weren't meant to be. At 21 i gave birth to a healthy baby boy who is my best friend. At 23 i gave birth to another healthy baby boy who is wonderful. In Jan 2011 i became pregnant with my 3rd boy but found out at 18 weeks he had trisomy 13 and would not survive. I chose to continue the pregnancy and sadly God called him home at 24 weeks. Despite the loss and sadness over my son, we were blessed with another pregnancy and i am now 26 weeks along with a healthy baby girl. Im telling you my story to show you that despite having loses, you can still have your happy ending. I wish you and your wife the best and will keep you in my prayers for a healthy happy pregnancy. Hi everyone. I just want to say thank you all so much for your positivity toward us. I feel like I can't share this pregnancy with just everyone we know as yet especially since we lost our previous 2 pregnancies. In a way I feel like this is my only way of expressing myself as a father to be. Well, I wanna share some info with you. Over the last few days, my wife has been going for her blood tests and all seams ok for now. Her progesterone has increased from 57 to 63.5 which is good according to the south african medical chart also our doc says its good. Her bhcg results rose from 860 to 1574 and then yesterday rose again to 3740. Doc also says that's a good sign. She indicated that there could be a chance of twins in this pregnancy because of her progesterone rising so good. When the doc indicated this to us, My wife was so happy. I decided to take my wife to do a 2D ultrasound today. The sonographer confirmed that my wife is exactly 5 weeks pregnant today. We saw the gestational sac measuring to 10mm, however we did not see the yolk sac or fetal pole. Nevertheless my wife is being strong. I think I'm stressing more because I so badly want to be a father as I love my wife and we've been together since we were 16. Ah but my doc says the best time to see is 7 weeks on an ultrasound. I agree, you both need to remember that an early miscarriage is because something is not right with the pregnancy itself. It has nothing to do with your wife. Women always blame themselves.You need to be strong a support her. Try not to worry much and try to enjoy the pregnancy. If she makes it to 8 weeks she should be OK. Then when she makes it to 14 weeks she should be even more so in the clear. Good luck to you both and I'm sure this time everything will go just fine. Lots of women have miscarriages or stillborns and go on to have healthy babies.

I would sugguest that you both take it easy especially your wife. The way i am getting through this pregnancy is to keep a logical head on and know that i am still early. There are many reason why we lose our pregnancys ans my dr told me it was 1 in 4 lose the baby in the first trimester.
By the sounds of it your wife is doing everything she can by taking the vitiams. There is no reason why this wont turn out to be a heathy pregnancy either. Please also understand its no one fault you lose a baby.. i know its awful but sometimes it just happens.
