I would get checked by the doctor to make sure your levels are rising. At 5w3d I started bleeding bright red worse than a period and I went to the hospital where they told me I was having a miscarriage and to "prepare for the worse"... well I just had my doctor check my levels and get repeat ultrasounds. It took 5 weeks for the bleeding to stop completely and now I'm 35 weeks with a healthy little girl... turns out I had a subchorionic hematoma which is basically blood behind the placenta that can cause bleeding. Try not to worry its possible that everything could be fine!

WOW!!!!!  They actually told you that you had a missed miscarriage!  The human body amazes me.  How did they come to that conclusion with you?  Just by the HCG levels dropping?  That is so scary for them to say something like that to you... what if you had just gone on to believe them?  You may have done something that could have been harmful not knowing that your pregnancy was viable...

I spotted with my first pregnany for the first 3 months.  I went on to have a beautiful baby boy.  I got pregnant in 05' and started spotting  but was only 4 or 5 weeks.  They did the blood work and I ended up having a D&C because me HCG levels dropped.  This is my third pregnancy and I am now 8weeks.  I had spotting from 4 1/2 weeks until about a week ago.  We saw the baby and heartbeat on a sono last week.  I would go to your ob and let them do the blood tests to see if your levels are rising.  It was way to early to see anything on my sono's when I first went in for the spotting.

Don't worry. Too much stress can cause a m/c. Just be calm and happy that you are this far along. If you keep worrying you can cause yourself to have too much stress and hurt the baby. Just relax and take it one day at a time. Good luck!

My mom was over weight and so was my friend. Each about 50lbs over weight with small frames. I am over weight too about 30lbs, and 5 weeks today but no bleeding. If it was just a smudge I don't think you should worry. My mom and friend had more and they all gave birth fine. Try to avoid stress because it can harm the baby. I sure do hope everything comes out ok. Plz keep me posted. Just try to have peace and faith in God, if its ment to be, nothing will stand in the way, not even a little blood!!!! Good luck!!!!

I went to the dr. yesterday too.  My doctor told me that I may spot a little after she did the pap.  She said not to worry unless I really start to bleed or have really bad cramps that don't go away.
