For as long as you have hCG you will feel pregnant. It sounds like a missed miscarriage, which is where the baby has died but your body doesn't realize this and doesn't go through the process of expelling the tissue. That growth alone shows the pregnancy itself wasn't viable if after 3 weeks it only showed a growth of 1 week 4 days. Wait for your scan Monday and see what it shows. If nothing, you have to the choice to either wait for your body to do it on its own or go for a D&C. Be warned though, the process of natural miscarriage can take weeks and if it stays for too long infection can set in which can damage your fertility and such.

thank you guys. it shows growth on the sac actually but it seems not normal..  When my previous ultrasound last august 15 it shows 4 weeks and 3 days. So, we've waited for 3 weeks to get the heartbeat but when i came back last sept 5. ultrasound showed 6 weeks only. it's kinda strange and the doctor said it shows very slow development so we decided to repeat after a week. i never came back to the same doctor instead i look for 2nd opinion and took ultrasound last Monday(sept 19), same results had found. the sac still on its 6 weeks and 4days. I think its no improvement after 3 weeks.

DOctor scheduled me on monday to look for improvement. She said if no improvement seen then i should accept that it's not yet meant for me..

I dont feel any pain nor bleeding... im tummy gets bigger. my breast are swollen. :'(

So sorry to hear this, but I agree with the ladies. I had the same thing except I had other signs (bleeding, pain). The dr's did an ultrasound at 8 wks and showed development of 6 wks, no heartbeat. I came back 2 weeks later for a followup scan to look for growth and there was none. I opted not to have a D&C because I wanted to be sure. It passed on its own a few weeks later with no problems. I can't help you out with hormone levels because the NHS doesn't generally do that.

Best of luck and let us know what happens. This site is great to talk about this kind of stuff when we can't talk to our families or friends.

I would agree with Clysta that it does not sound positive.. With my first pregnancy, I had a scan at what was suppose to be my 11-12 week scan - i didnt for sure know my LMP... but the scan showed sac measuring 7 weeks 5 days.....  I wanted to remain hopeful for sure but then I realized it had been over 7 weeks since I got my positive pregnancy test so it was unlikely...
In the end, I ended up getting a d&c as I was showing no signs of passing the sac...

If your ultrasounds are not showing growth then I wouldnt be too hopeful... IM really sorry.. good luck on your next ultrasound.

All in all it doesn't sound too positive. If your LMP is placing you at 13 weeks that's a very large gap between dating. Has the ultrasounds shown any proper growth? IE in a weeks time you see growth of 5-7 days. If they're not, more than likely the fetus has not survived and continued ultrasound would be pointless. You should also speak to your doctor and have them check your hCG levels to see what they're doing. In a typical pregnancy they will double every 48 hours. If the pregnancy is not viable they will either rise by a very small amount or drop.
