5 weeks 6 days pregnant but nothing on internal scan. HCG 1700
Hey! looking for some advise? I have had 4 pregnancy tests all which say positive 2 of which are digital and say 2-3 weeks. The doctor has said i'm 6 weeks tomorrow in regards to my last period however I know the conceived date was only 3 1/2 weeks ago. Iv had some light bleeding. Very light! and brown not fresh and only on tissue nothing more and no clotts. nothing even on my underwear! but every other day for about a week. (sorry for the gory details) Iv had period type pains all over my tummy so today I had an early scan but they couldn't find anything. They looked everywhere encase of an eptopic but nothing. My stomach is so bloated which makes me think my womb is growing. They took some blood and i have just had a call to say my levels are at 1700 but they say that that is quite high so they should see something and are leaning towards a miscarriage. Iv been trying for years and this is my first so i'm desperate for a bit of hope! I have another blood test in 2 days and they need it to double by then! Has anyone had anything similar? If anyone can shed some light I would really appreciate it!
Yes please update :) I didn't need to get my blood done again as there was progress on the scan the next day. Hcg levels should double by Saturday. Fingers crossed for you hun xx
I miscarried & with my second pregnancy the doctor put me on progesterone. Talk with your doctor about it...my second pregnancy, first child, was born healthy & I'm 34 weeks with our second child. With both I took progesterone pills.

I do still keep thinking is there still hope?! But I'm loosing so much blood now and the pain has been agonising! Been in bed since Sunday :-(

Oh sweetie!! Please don't lose all hope! Rest as much as you can, are they going to re scan you? They cannot just leave you. So many miscarriages are mis diagnosed. Prepare yourself for the worst but don't lose hope! I'm praying for you and your precious baby! All the best lovely lady, keep strong x
My mother in law had this. Don't move only get up to pee. try your hardest to not do anything. She had a healthy baby who is now a mum herself good luck x
Hey guys had another scan today. They found my little baby but the sac is collapsing and I'm misscarring :-( thanks for all your advise and support through this xxx
Dont worry honey everything will be fine...same happened to me....they were freaking my mind almost by one month...it was after miscarriage so imagine how hard it was for me sometimes doctors can be so heartless....i was in a lot of stress during my first trimester cuz all that im my week 11 i stared bleeding like crazy i even passed cloths cuz i was to sick with morning sicknes but thanks to that beautiful God my baby is perfect and im almost 30 weeks now ajajaj im so happy so take it easy pray and rest....everything will be perfect

They like them to go up a minimum of two thirds and yours have almost doubled do I would say that's a really good sign. Good luck to you x

Hey yeah the levels have gone from 1700 to 2365 but they said they should be at 2850. Gotta have another done on Monday and another scan! Thanks for your thoughts were all praying too! Xxx
Sounds good to me hun :) hcg levels should double every 48 to 72 hours so in my opinion yours look as though all is going well! I will continue praying for you. All you need is faith the size of a mustard seed and God will move mountains! All the best hun xx
Update! Levels on Thursday were 1700 and today they are 2365 so not gone up as much as they would have liked. Need to go back for another test on Monday. Xx
Brown blood is usually old blood so it would mean that your not bleeding anymore it's just clearing out. I misscarried a few week before I got pregnant and I was in so much pain with intense period cramps. Than I started bleeding and it was light as first then got heavier. Then when I got pregnant like 3 weeks after I started bleeding again. It was light pink and very light so I was expecting it to happen again but it turned brown and stopped. I'm now 26 weeks and all is good. Try not to worry I know it's difficult but if you think positive you will have a positive outcome :) x

Thank you lucie I'm just hoping everytime it happens it doesn't turn red! I do have quite bad period type pains. Not as bad as when I am having a period but it's been every day for a week. I'm sorry for your mc but happy for you now youve been successful! Iv just had my second blood test so just hoping the levels have gone up!
I think my head is so confused I'm not even sure what I'm feeling anymore! Keep getting pain down my right side but I'm asking myself am I? Or am I imagining it because I'm scared! Browning has increased today. And stringy sorry again for details! But that scared me. And I woke up this morning like I wasn't pregnant I felt nothing! Slowly as they day goes on my tummy has started hurting again but that seems to happen every day around lunch time and hurts till I fall asleep at night. Iv tried for 6 years and after being told wed need ivf this has been a magical miracle! I keep reading similar stories to mine with happy endings which is reassuring but I just hope tomorrow my levels have doubled!
I went for a scan at 7 weeks 6 days and the embryo and all that measured half a cm in supposed they could even see something that small. I'm Sure it will all work out for you fingers crossed.
My obgyn does not take patients earlier than 8 weeks for that same reason. Baby is too small, everything will be fine :-)
They usually can't see anything until 8+ weeks, and usually can't get a heart beat until 10+ weeks
One more question actually. Did you find out you hcg levels 2 days later? If so do you remember what they were? Just so I have an idea for Saturday x
They said my levels were too high not to see anything too, the next day there was a sac! Sounds very similar to what happened to me, they thought originally that I was two weeks behind on my dates but I was sure it was only possible to be a weeks, at my last scan it showed that I was right. So baby obviously caught up. It's so difficult to predict how far along a pregnancy is before 12 weeks. Keep hope and try not to worry too much, I'm sure you're just too early at the moment. Really hope it's good news on Saturday! Your hcg levels sound good so far :) Xx

I'm not sure, they certainly shouldn't have said so if they were not sure, how terrible for you! Have you been booked in for follow up scans? I was scanned every 1-2 weeks until the heartbeat was found. Xx

They just said my levels are too high to see nothing and she said she'd be leaning towards misscarrage if she was me. She asked me to come back Saturday for another blood test and if the levels go up enough then there's something but if they drop then not good Xx
Not even a sac would be present at 3 weeks as baby will just be implanting which would explain your brown spotting. Everything will be fine don't worry, it's just because you are very early :) xx

I had an early scan at what I thought was almost 7 weeks and they couldn't find anything, not even a sac. I went back a couple of days later and a sac was found, a week later the sac had grown and a yolk sac was present. I was told to go back two weeks later and we saw a little kidney bean with a strong heartbeat :) turns out my dates were off about 10 days, so I was 5 ish weeks in my first scan, my hcg levels then were 1500 so very similar to yours. Don't lose hope! I'm sure everything will be fine. All the best hun, try not to stress. Keep us updated xx

That has lifted my spirits! Thank you so much. The person who called just said so casually she thought misscarrage but I just don't see enough evidence. I no I'm only 3 weeks and 4 days because my husband worked away last month so we only tried on the 28th. So they wouldn't see anything then? I mean they didn't with yours at 5 weeks so that's assured me even more that mine must be tiny. Xx
