6 weeks, no heartbeat

I am 6 weeks and a day, went for u/s b/c im experiencing bleeding, not heavy but red blood when i wipe, the gestational sac is there and looks good, my last blood test on Friday was very good. I am going back for an u/s on thursday morning and getting the results of todays blood later today. Wondering how common it is to not see a heartbeat at this point. My dr is cautiously optimistic.

In the early part of my second pregnancy I experienced bleeding. My son was born perfectly healthy - and so was I.

Good luck today just to let you know when I was pregnant with my 3 son for the first 4 months I would have bleeding it would come and go. no pain (that is the biggest worry for doctors they told me if I am bleeding and have lower back pain)
I was very nervous I was about 6 weeks along when the bleeding started and they did an internal ultrasound and saw the little heart beating they said it was a little early to see that but that it just means I could be further long.
Today I have a healthy 8 year old son.
I know it is easier said then done you need to try not to worry. I know it is easier said then done I have been there..I think you are okay and so is the little one.
good luck and let us know
