6 weeks and 3 days pregnant....

i really want to tell everyone (family, friends), should i wait, i have an 6yr old and a 8mth old and the day i found out i told everyone. since I have never lost a baby does that mean my risk is lower? would you tell people at 6 weeks?

Me and hubby went ahead and told everyone that mattered. We thought about it and would want our friends and family to support us if a miscarriage should happen. I guess it depends on your support system.

Waiting is hard but I will always wait now... I told everyone at 6 weeks with my first and found out the baby had stopped developing when I was 12 weeks..

Telling people has no bearing on the outcome of the pregnancy but from my experience, its really hard to then tell everyone you lost it...

You most likely have nothing to worry about but its generally a good idea to wait until the first ultrasound...    But its 100% your choice and its normal to be so excited to tell people

Congratulations on the pregnancy.

I had 2 healthy kids a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old. I also had never lost a baby. I fell pregnant and told my family and friends and when i went to have my scan found out it was a  blighted ovum and miscarried at 10 weeks. 6 months later i fell pregnant again, im now 28 weeks :) maybe just wait a couple more weeks to be safe. Hope this helps :)

congrats to you all too!

We're waiting at least a couple more weeks, till after a doctor checkup and to be reasonably sure this one's sticking. I hate it! But we agreed on that arrangement after discussion. Immediate family might find out earlier; I have told two close female friends but they are sworn to secrecy.

If you can, ask your partner how he feels about it -- you might be surprised to find he has a pretty strong opinion one way or another.
