6 weeks scan no fetal pole and bleeding?

I found I was pregnant on 9th March my last period was 6th of Feb so I assumed I was 4 weeks three days. We were both estatic, went to the doctors two days later to confirm but she just said congrats and gave me midwifes details.
At five weeks six days I went to the toilet ( a frequent event these days) stated to bleed, bright pink blood, only when i wiped about five pieces of tissue, but no stomach pains. Went and layed on the sofa with legs in the air (mums advice!) and rung the doctor, while waiting for a ring back I went to the toilet two more times no more blood. I'd started to get a low dull period pain in stomach. Doctor rung said not to worry would book me in for an early scan and to rest all weekend. Saturday morning I passed a little bit of old blood (black stringy looking). Had period pain feelings all weekend. I went for the scan on Sunday, when I thought I was six weeks one day, I was so nervous, they found the gestational sac and yol sac but no sign of fetal pole. Midwife said I might have got my dates wrong and to come back in ten days. Im so worried this is going to be the longest ten days of my life!! Has anyone else been through this?

Update

Had my second scan on the 31st and, sigh of relief there was a small white blob with a heart beat, so so pleased i can try and relax for the rest of the pregnancy now. Hope everyone else is doing well. x

Try not to worry yourself too much. There is tons of reasons for bleeding during pregnancy. Six weeks is early to see anything. I just had my first scan at almost 7 weeks and the tech had a hard time finding the baby. I hope everything looks good when you get your next u/s!
