8 weeks and spotting

I am around 8 weeks pregnant now and today when I went to the bathroom there was a very light pink in my urine. I do have to admit that we are sexually active and we did just finish intercourse. I am very concerned at this point because it is my first pregnancy and I don't know exactly what is normal and what is not. Please give me some advice as to what to do or how to handle this situation. Thank you so very much.

There's always that ONE person that has to tell her miscarriage story. Obviously she's freaked out enough. Is it really necessary to bring up your bad experiences?
I think your fine. Any doctor will tell you it is completely normal to spot after intercourse.  Don't listen to these horror stories.

Well see you must have missread what I wrote because I said "THE DOCTOR" told me that increased blood flow in the cervix causes ALOT of women to spot around the time of 8 weeks.

Every seems to freak out when they talk about spotting during pregnancy.
And yeah, if I didn't know what was going on, I'd freak out too.
But what I stated came right out of a doctor aka a PROFESSIONAL about these things, mouth.

Spotting is normal during pregnancy.
ALOT of women spot, and then some don't.

People like me that are calming and just try to state what happened to myself to try to help situate the problem.
Then we got people like you who are out there to freak everyone out and I don't find that very helpful atall.

Most miscarriage cases come with a whole deal of other symptoms, and I did tell her that if it became heavy or darker, to get some help.

Mine wasn't constant.
It'd stay, then go away, then come back... etc.
It first started after I had intercoarse.
And the I told the doc that.
He said that it was just the pressure that made that happen and that it was fine.

Sh*t is gunna go down while you're pregnant, no doubt about it.
But not everything is gunna be at life's worst.

hey, I was only posting what I've heard from other users on sites like these. Every woman is different and if theres something happening to her body then she'll figure it out. That's also why I said...
I don't know if I'm pregnant or not yet, so I would post the same thing if it was happening to me too.

--I would ask the same question if I were 8 weeks and spotting. But spotting CAN be normal. Sadly, some women get spotting, or a "spot" and miscarry. You can't always expect the worst with every pregnancy. Although, it shouldn't be one of those things that's never talked about. I think spotting is normal, BUT ALSO, can be something wrong.

I'm not trying to be negative but spotting can and should be a concern regardless of cramping.  Since you did just have intercourse that could be the cause of the spotting.  I miscarried at 8 weeks with the tiniest spec of pink...no bleeding no cramps...and I called the doctor because they said at all my other appointments to call if spotting occurred.  They brought me in ASAP and told me the reasons for concern included and ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage and to allay any concerns they would do an ultrasound.  They did one and I was in the very early stages of a mc.  I would never just tell anyone that spotting is normal or nothing to worry about.  I understand that this case does seem to be related to the intercourse however I would hate for someone else to come across this thread of posts and think that  spotting is normal and nothing to worry about and then have it be the cause of an ectopic pregnancy or a mc.

Thank you so much. All of your advice is wonderful. It helps calm the nerves that I have had a whole bunch. The spotting has gon away and there was nothing in my last few voids. Once again thank you so much. This is our first pregnancy so it is kind of nerve racking i'm sure you all know what I mean.

There is absolutely NOTHING to worry about with that pink spotting you're seeing.
I spotted the SAME pinkness on my tissue paper when I whiped from the day I hit 8 weeks exactly till I was about 9 1/2 weeks.

The doctor said that it was just the fact that I'm changing, and at 8 weeks, for some reason around 8 weeks of pregnancy, the cervix has extra blood flow, causing some to leak out and cause spotting.

My fiancee and I are REALLY sexually active, lol, and After that spotting around 8 weeks, I've never bleed since, and I'm gunna be 13 weeks here on Friday.

The doctor said it's perfectly fine to be as sexually active as you want up until that last month... just aslong as you're not getting bad aches in your lower tummy, or if you start bleeding heavily.

And if that pink spotting decides to turn into ANY type of RED BLOOD, contact your doctor immediately, because we're both still in miscarriage threat until 14 weeks.

But yeah, spotting is perfectly fine around your time of pregnancy.
It freaked me out too, but so far my baby's perfectly fine.

Ok wait was the blood in your pee or coming out the other hole? Sorry. If it was in your pee you should see a Dr. you might have a UTI. If it came from the other hole then I wouldn't worry about it especially since you just had intercourse. Everyone is different but just keep an eye on it. Good luck!!

I've heard spotting in early pregnancy is normal and since you just BD'd that could also be the reason. I think that if your getting bad cramps which causes you to slump over I guess and heavy bleeding is when you should worry.

I don't know if I'm pregnant or not yet, so I would post the same thing if it was happening to me too. [:
