8 weeks sac but no baby, help

I had my first ultrasound on April 5th & my doc saw the yolk sac and said this was a healthy pregnancy, now I go to the doctors today which is my 8week visit and he sees a sac but no baby. Now I'm unsure of when my last menstrual cycle was so I can be wrong about how faralongI am.Butmy doc said as big as my sac is he would be able to see a baby and a heart beat, and nothing is there.I'm going to a different doc tomorrow for a second opinion. I keep seeingthis happens alot and women end up with a healthy baby. I new to knowI I have hope or if I setting myself up for more heart ache

I'm going through the same thing right now. I estimated to be about 8 weeks and had my first ultrasound which all he saw was a gestational sac which was misshapen and a yolk sac. Nothing else. This estimates me to be at about 5 and a 1/2 weeks. I got the results from my hcg test and it was 22,000 which the nurse informed me we should see a heartbeat by now. I am waiting to get my test results from 2nd hcg test tomorrow to compare the two. I wish you the best of luck. Its a terrible waiting game.
