A few questions

I have a few questions.  I don't know exactly how far along I am but when my hcg levels were checked on Friday the nurse said I am between 2 and 3 weeks pregnant.  First question does that mean 2 to 3 weeks from conception or 2-3 weeks pregnant since a lmp pregnant? Also I'm having some cramping which seems like it's getting more painful.  I've read that it's normal to cramp during the early months of pregnancy but what's normal and what's not normal for cramping? This is my second pregnancy and I should know right? But I'm just a little concerned about the cramping and really curious about the hcg levels. Thank you to everybody for your help.

I have had 4 pregnancies resulting in one miscarriage.  With my first I had mild cramping kind of like my period was coming but it never did lol.  With my daughter I didn't have any cramping or pms to indicate my period was coming and I was pregnant.  With my son I miscarried I had severe period cramps and believed my period was coming for about a week and a half even after I was late, it was so uncomfortable and I truly believed my period was coming but it didn't.  I did lose my son at 14 weeks.  I am now 7 weeks pregnant and I had no signs that my period was ever coming.  I just think sometimes you get premenstrual cramps and are pregnant and others you dont.

As I mentioned before I did cramp a lot with my son that I miscarried but I miscarried at 14 weeks and so it wasn't an early miscarriage.  I think every pregnancy is different and I have learnt that with the difference between the boys and girl I have.

With the cramping question, when I cramped it kind of felt warm if you can imagine that.  I know it sounds strange to say that but  it kind of feels dull like it is always there but not like sharp pains or pains that make you crouch over, they are kind of bearable but notiveable.  I know with my miscarriage I didn't have any cramps what so ever and that was delivering him naturally.  I think you will be fine but you will definately know if something is wrong!!!!

Considering you're ovulating at around 2-3 weeks based on LMP she most likely means your little bean is 2-3 weeks (meaning you're 4-5 weeks pregnant). Cramping is normal and it can be intense but it should not ever be painful.

Because this is your second child your uterus has already been through this before. It might be a little more intense for you this second time around.

Your HCG needs to double every 48-72 hours so it looks like your little one is growing beautifully! Still too early to see anything on a sonogram however. You need to have HCG of 2,000 to see something.
