Thanks for the tips. My SIL gave me some face wash from her work. She works for a dermatologist. I'm gonna try it.
I wear makeup very rarely and I wash my face in the shower and at night. I hope that this clears up soon! or I'm gonna start wearing makeup to cover it up
I suffered from acne from age 15-19, it was miserable... and I get it sometimes now (I'm almost 24 weeks pregnant)...
I didn't notice any major skin changes after my m/c last year but it makes sense. Your hormones may still be a little off. Acne usually doesn't start in your mid-late 20's; if you have it it's usually temporary. So don't worry about having it permanently or anything.
Some tips: from my experiences I've found that the best cleansers are really mild ones - Cetaphil or Neutrogena Gentle Wash. Don't buy the super harsh acne-fighting cleansers; they make it worse by drying out your skin and making it over-produce oil to counteract the dryness, causing clogged pores and therefore zits appear. Make sure make-up is washed off completely every night. Use a moisturizer (an oil-free, non pore clogging type such as Neutrogena Daily moisturizer or Cetaphil moisturizer) even if your face is oily. Don't wash your face more than twice a day. Use a clean towel everytime you pat your face dry. Change your pillow case every few days. Don't touch your face any more than you have to - the oils from your hands, even if your hands feel dry, are bad for your face. Use high-quality make-up. Keep bangs/hair away from your forehead to avoid the transfer of hair oils to your face.
I know that was a lot of info, I just have an unfortunate deep understanding about acne and how crappy it is! Best wishes to you, hope it clears up. :)
I had bad acne too but now that I'm in my 7th month, it's starting to calm down. I used a gentle cleanser like cetaphil and a sulfur based mask that dries the pimples out. My doc also prescribed Clindoxyl for me which has helped a lot! I also use mineral make up since regular make up can further irritate the skin.
ANYONE????
It almost looks like a rash little red bumps all over my face...
