AGAIN OT!!! sorry... so random.

Question

SOOoo... we are looking at a place today. I drove by it, it looks really nice and bigger around (1000sq ft.) then an average duplex.... remodeled inside and out.... Its not as expensive for the monthly rent as the other place we turned down..... ANYWAYS how much will utilities run monthly? i live in the New england States.... Anyone?

Just the three of us.... for now   :o) Im planning on keeping it average temp. of 69..... IF WE LIKE IT. just need some ideas as to what ill be paying in total for the place!  THANKS and sorry foir my randomness..... its just so nice to know i can ask anything and ill get honest opinions.

You all are lucky. My electric is about $300+ a month and my water is about $100+. Satellite is only about $55 a month though so that's nice.

Omgosh! I would never survive there! Our rent is $450 and our utl is $150 and cable and internet is $80ish! :(

Average electricity bill is $100

Average water bill is $27 (I pay about $81 every 3 months)

Oil is the killer. It cost me $600 to fill up my tank which I am *hoping* will last 3 months. It will be a stretch though so I approximated that at $200 a month

Trash bill is $30 ($90 every 3 months)

Cable is about $150

It's expensive!

Amy- thats crazy... im guessing just cable is 200.... thats aLOT for utilities. wow.WEll weve decided were not going to have cable anymore once we move ... its a waste of $ and its not like we watch it often either. Thanks ladies =)

I also live in New England and pay roughly $510 monthly for utilities. This includes electricity, water, oil for heat (filling up the oil tank as needed- We keep the heat on 70), trash pickup and full cable.
