Acupressure to Induce Labor

I am 38 weeks pregnant and scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks due to low iron.  Will acupressure points work to induce labor?  I would much rather induce naturally at home than have to be induced with pitocin.  How long after massaging the points should I go into labor?

You can always try stimulating some of the pressure points at home with your husband under the advice of an accupressurist....we tried a few of the points before my induction and every single time I got very painful cramping contractions but they fizzled the SECOND we stopped the pressure...and we kept at it for awhile, but I actually didn't have any significant contractions until I was actually in active labor.

Usually this type of naturally induction requires several sessions to "prep" before induction can really happen.
