Allergies

Anyone know of safe allergy medications to take while pregnant?

Thanks! I have a midwife appt next wednesday and ive been suffering.already for a few weeks! Just thought id ask if theres a for sure okay but I think ill survive another week! Haha!

I have bad allergies my doc told me Benadryl and clariton(sp) were ok but I'd check  with your doc

The one I've heard the most is Benadryl (others seem to be ok by some and not ok by others), but always with the advice to try other measures like limiting exposure to allergens, using a netti pot, etc first. I would speak with your doctor before taking anything since s/he knows you and your health, and the doses they suggest might not be by the label (e.g., when I had a terrible cold this winter, I found out my doc's recommendation for acetaminophen is not the same as that on the bottle).

Thanks! Ill see if theres a "non drowsy" kind cause theyre terrible in the morning! I hope you find some relief too!

That's really a question for your ob as opinion can vary.  But benedryl is a universally ok to use, although it'll probably make you drowsy lol.

Im in the same boat!!! My Doctor said u shouldnt take anything. But he did say i could take a medication starting with "P" but it will make me very drowsy.
