Am I, Arnt !

Hi, this isnt a "am i pregnant question" as of course no one can tell me that until i take a test, but I was just wondering if you could give me some info on some symptoms and if they are pregnancy related.

I am trying for a baby, but its difficult as im irregular, every 40-48 days, and different every month, So i can only attmept this once every two months.

I have roughly worked it out that i ovulated 4 weeks and 2 days after my previous period, which is roughly 2 weeks before im expected to come on.

I think i ovulated on wed 13th, cant be 100% it was that day of course, but i think it was that day or poss within a few hours of it as i had sharp twinges on my right ovary.
I normally experience cramps around the time i ovulate, but this seemed different as it was sharp and i dont normally get that..............so my first question is..........is it likely that was the day i ovulated.

Second question, I had sex with my partner on mon 11th and the night of the 13th, did i have sex enough to poss conceive a child as i have heard ppl say sperm takes 10hrs to reach an egg and only lasts 2days.

3rd question
I've had light nausea since 16th and it hasnt gone away, its not unbearable, but the sick feeling is there. Can you experience sick feelings this early on?
My lower back is achey and i have a tightening feeling in my stomach, with some boating and a few mild headaches.
I cant tell if im possibly coming down with something or if it is early signs as im not even sure if the egg has implanted yet (thats if im pregnant of course)

And last question, as i am so irregular, i cant work out when my expected period day is, so any idea on when would be the best time to test as i have no idea if i will be late ect.

Any help would be great.

Good luck to all who r trying to conceive.

thank you for your advice. Perhaps maybe i can off you some too.
I read that not having sex until fertile period isnt the best way to conceive. Having sex 2-3 times a week is the recommended suggesitons as it always guarentees a healthy supply of sperm will be in your tubes at the time an egg is released - and when it is your fertile period its suggested you have sex everyday in the 5 days leading up to ovulation, the day of and a couple of days after. Its also said that man who ejaculated about 4 times a week will have fresher healthier sperm and can make conceiving easier. Best of luck to you

The honest truth is all pre-pregnancy and AF symptoms are so alike not all women can judge whether they are pregnant or whether AF is due.  I've been ttc for the past 32 months and i've had every symptom you could think of and never had a BFP.  My partner and i have been for fertiltiy test and both came back clear it's just not happening.

My advice is speak to a doctor about regulating your period as there is no way you would be able to tell when you are ovulating unless you use OPK's or track your BBT.

The only way to tell you are pregnant is by testing but if your not sure when AF is going to arrive it may be hard to test.  When ttc i BD 2 days before ovulation, day of ovulation and 2 days after ovulation it gives my partner time to build up his sperm rather than doing it everyday or more than once a day.

I wish you luck in ttc but i would see a doc about getting something to shorten the time between your periods

i dont think what i am experiencing now is ovulation as i tried to do the cervical mucus test and the clear stretchy icky stuff was last week, so im quite certain it was then. There is so much mixed information about for me to make any kind of judgement. I heard lots of women say they felt sick straight away, others not at all, some eggs implanting as early as 3 days others as late as 12, but by that point its likely to end in miscarrying ect ect.
I will attempt to test next friday as that may be roughly 16 dpo and hopefully i can get a an accurate result. The suspense iis awaful lol.
Thank you for the advice

Hi if you ovulated on the 13th,and started getting nausea from the 16th I highly doubt its pregnancy related.you wouldnt start showing any kind of symptoms until the egg implants,6days plus from ovulation.with such an irregular cycle i would highly advise you to speak with your doctor about running some tests,as this can make it impossible for you to pin point correct time to concieve.
what you may well be experiencing now is ovulation.
have you thought about charting, and using ovulation tests.by charting you can see your cycle and get a better idea.
if however you did ovulate on the 13 then yes you are right to say you covered the good days.but for further.i would say go for day or 2 before ovulation, and also day of and for 2 days following.since some times egg struggles even with positive test.so your covered, but definately speak with your doctor he or she should be able to put you on somthing to help regulate your period.you can test roughly 2 weeks after last sexual encounter.best of luck..
