Am I Pregnant and Is This Normal?

The first week of November will be my 3rd month with a missed period and I've taken two pregnancy tests that have come out positive..I have had sore breast..mostly my nipples and Iv'e been tired a lot more and I've had some spotting here and there the past 2 and a 1/2 months. Is the spotting normal for one and if not what should I do? And If I really am pregnant how far along would I be? I haven't seen a doctor yet because I won't have insurance until January due to My Husband's new job and we don't really know how much a visit will be. Please help me if you can. Thank You.

since you are pregnant i believe that you can be covered under state financial aid. I was pregnant and miscarried 3 years ago and as soon as the clinical test came back positive i was covered under the state financial aid. I wasnt married so im not sure how that would work, but its something you can look into until you can get insurance.

Hope I'm not being too personal, but if your husband is the only one employed a local trip to your DFACS office would be a good thing.  I'm a DFACS case worker for the state of GA and our policy is as long as you come in with proof of pregnancy, which you can get from your county's health department, or planned parenthood we give you a form to fill out and in 10 DAYS you'll have was called Presumptive Maternal Medicaid.  We dont even ask for your income, b/c we want EVERY pregnant woman to have care no matter her situation.  I'm on my husband's insurance and I still have medicaid to cover my Co-pays and prescriptions.  Check it out please b/c being this far along you're going into your 2nd trimester and you at least need to be on prenatals and need a ultrasound done.

Thanks ladies for giving me your input..Hopefully I can see a Doctor soon. I also forgot to mention..even if this doesn't make a difference..My Husband works with our State Correctional System. I dont know what the policy really is on there insurance about pre-exsisting conditions and so on. But I will check it out ASAP. Thanx again ladies.

Ya, I would definitely look into your husband's insurance policy and find out what their terms are. I think since you won't be covered until January, you should at the very least get some kind of check-up.

My company doesnt cover most pre-existing conditions either but mostly maternity isnt limited to it. I wasnt covered under my mom's insurance for maternity so I got my own and I was covered. Congrats though, its exciting. I would def. consider going to the dr. though. Who knows, maybe you'll find one that wont be outrageous without insurance. I know that when I got pregnant and needed the insurance right away (normally I wouldve had to wait 30 days) I talked to the insurance company and I had mine within a week. And most of the time pre-exsisting conditions are for something you've had tests for or have been seen about. Since you haven't seen anyone that might rule you out of pre-exsisiting cond.

I had the same problem with my last pregnancy, my husband and I moved and he had a new job, and we got the insurance after I was pregnant, We woun't up paying for the whole thing. WOW these little ones are expensive to come out! It was because of no insureance that we didn't have an u/s and didn't know the sex of our baby till he was born. Thank God he was a healthy baby. I hope in ur case with the insurance it is different, just make sure you are taking prenatal vitamins, you can get them at the drug store.

I hope that is the case and that is why I suggested to her to check into now and not wait because that would be harder hear in Jan closer to delivery than now.

Not trying to be contradictory but- check into your husband's insurance policy; I think pregnancy will be covered based on the Federal HIPAA laws.  The best I can remember, pregnancy cannot be excluded from an insurance policy as pre-existing due to federal law.  Pre-natal care is very important for you and your baby.  Maybe until the ins kicks in you can go to a health clinic or find a dr with reasonable rates.

Congrats you would be around 12 weeks like brown eyed gurl said.  Not to have bad news but not having ins until Jan may not help you.  I used to work for a ins co and most ins companies would consider this a pre-existing condition and may not cover any of the bills for appt or delivery.  If I were you I would start checking to other options or call this ins company to see if they would cover.  Again it's very exciting news and you should visit a dr soon to make sure everything is going good.
