Am I pregnant

I am 27 yrs old and me and my husband have been trying for 6 years to have a baby. My last period was on the 20th of Aug and was expected on the 17th of September however, it is now the 25th and NO PERIOD! I took an at home pregnancy test and it was NEGATIVE :-( . Is it too early for an at home test? How long should I wait to take anther? Or should I just go to the DR?

I was in the same situation where u r. My last period was Aug 20th, and was due for my next one on Sept. 17th. I had some brown spotting on Sept 7th ( implantation bleeding). I tried to test on Sept 10 and 11, both were negative (digital Clear Blue). I used a clear blue with the lines on Sept 13th and gor a very, very, very faint line. So I wasn't sure if I was progo or not.On Sept 17th, my period never came on and I did a 2 preg test (dollar store)< I did both with serum from my blood and I got a +. I did another dollar test the same day with urine and got a negative. On Sept 18th. I did a EPT (digital) with blood and got "pregnant." So you could very well be prego, but u may need to go to the doc to have  blood test. I was alos having a little nausea, headacshes, breast tenderness, and congestion from my sinuses. I felt like I was prego, because I was so congested and had headaches with my last one. My husband and I were trying again....so now I'm 5 wks prego. I wish u the best of luck.
