Anyone else seeing a chiropractor?

Hi ladies.  I was wondering if anyone else has or is seeing  a chiropractor for back pain due to the pregnancy.  I went yesterday for my initial appt and have another one today.  I freaked out after the one yesterday but the dr discussed everything with me and will try again today.  I just don't like people's hands on me but I have to do something because I have been in the ER twice now for back pain.  I just want to know it is perfectly safe.  Thanks.

If you mention Chiro at the Physio they will be negative about it, they don't tend to refer to each other (or support one anothers practices) but massage therapist will reccomend both. Thought i'd let you know incase you feel confused after see physio..but do try chiro if no relief

Just talked to my dr today about getting into a chiropracter. I have been having horrible lower back pain and hip pain during the day and at night sleeping. They scheduled me for Physical therepy instead.... LOL what on earth is that going to do if my pelvis is out of line?
So I guess I will give it a shot and if it doesn't work, i'll look for a chiropracter on my own.

When i started in the summer (before i was pregnant) i was ready to quit my job and change careers (I'm only 27) because of back/neck pain, it changed my life and my marriage (i would work then come home to couch and couldn't move and was very bitchy)
Hope all goes well, make sure you trust your chiropractor too (i ended up in hospital after adjustment from my 1st chiro, 2nd one i didn't feel comfortable with (these 2 i saw 2 years ago but knew i had to do something) and now 3rd one is AMAZING)

I appreciate the feedback.  I am suppose to go three times a week for four weeks then taper off.  I have had problems with my back for over 10 years so have a lot of damage to correct.  I am glad to know others have gone and feel better doing so. thanks again.

I swear by my chiropractor and when i called and cancelled my appointment she called my house every day for a week (i was in hospital) until i called her and gave her my bad news (at 19 weeks) she was the first (besides my dh to know i was preggo...and i didn't even  have to tell her she knew) also she was able to tell when i was ovulating, a week before i thought i was going to.
In the begining you will go a few times in a short span, then probably once every 2 weeks (or 1 a month) until you get closer to the end where you might need 1 a week

I have been going.  I popped out my first rib a few months ago and it has been very painful.  When I went in he said my neck, middle back, and my si joints were out.  I have gone 3 times now in the last two weeks, and to my surprise, my headaches are gone, I am having less heartburn, and my lower back  and hips don't feel like they are going to explode anymore!!
