Anyone had a copper IUD removed?

Hi all! I had my copper IUD removed mid March. My period was 9 days late, then started really light, the same way they were before I had an IUD. On the IUD they were very heavy, and usually lasted around 4 days. Now, I had 3 days of light bleeding, and then yesterday it got really heavy and painful. And it is the same today, with no sign of letting up.

I can't take the pain or pms anymore! And my tummy has been so swollen for almost 2 weeks now, I'm so uncomfortable! Has anyone else experienced this? I've only heard about people that may be late, or have a light period. Not this nightmare!

I had mine taken out in Oct of 07,  Your cycle should hopefully get back to normal in the next month or 2,  It Stinks i know expecially the heavy bleeding and cramping.  It will get better though

Yeah, I got mine taken out in feb and my last 2 periods were very painful although not too heavy.  I guess your uterus is still trying to adjust.  hopefully my next period (if I'm not pregnant) wont be as bad.
