I did as well and it wasn't so bad. I felt queasy and light-headed when they were drawing the amniotic fluid, and watching it bubble into the syringe is very...odd....I want to warn you. but really the procedure was quick, pretty much painless, and I had no problem. They didn't make me lie flat but I did have to lie back and Grey kept moving his but under where they were going to put the needle, so they had to poke him out of the way a few times and THAT kinda hurt, but it wasn't bad and we got the results back pretty quickly about the lung maturity.

It is not life threatning for you or the baby.  They will go over all this during the procedure.  The only reason it is scary is because you have to lie on your back, perfectly still while they put this super long needle into your abdomen (I am needle paranoid & then laying on my back like that made me feel so out of control of the situation)  They want you to lay as still as you can.

Then AFTERWARDS the only risk there is is that you CAN lean amnio fluid from the injection site.  (this is rare)  You will see a little red ***** mark on your belly.  If you feel wetness around it, or you shirt gets wet in that area, then go back to the hospital.  There is no more risk leaking amnio fluid from that site as there is from when your water breaks.  it is basicall the same thing.  If you water breaks, the doctor / midwife will deliver the baby within 24 hrs.  (same as if you amniotic fluid leaks from the injection site)

I also had issues & was induced early... (ended up having a c-section, but that had nothing to do with the amnio procedure)

everything will be fine!  They just want to see if your baby's lungs are developed enough for him to come out!  You want him as strong as possible, or the doctors need to know so they can be prepared to care for him in nicu.

I am having some issues with the pregnancy and they want to induce a little early! When u say make sure the site dosnt leak amniotic fluid what do u mean? Is that life threatening for the baby or I? I am just so terrified and it would be because I have an anxiety disorder and am scared something is gonna happen to my little dude

I had one 6 yrs ago when I had my daughter.  They performed this at 35 weeks If I remember correctly.

I was also Terrified!  Bring someone with you to hold your hand.  This will really help to have moral support.

It DOES NOT hurt anymore than getting a shot.  It really wasn't bad at all.  Afterwards you will just have to watch to make sure the injection site doesn't start leaking amnio fluid.  I'm sure it will be fine.  It just looks scary, it really wasn't bad.  try not to watch.

Why are they checking lung development???  Are you having trouble & planning an earlier delivery?  If not I would decline this procedure.
