Apple Juice mixed with water (please read and respond)

my son is 2 1/2 months old and he has been having hard stool. i took him to the doctor and she said to give him a 1/2 ounce of apple juice mixed with 2 ounces of water. has anyone had any luck with that?

I just meant don't give him more than the doctor recommended, sorry! I'm sure you know that already, though, and don't need me to say anything.

YES!!!! that is exactly what they told me to give my daughter at 2 months but I also gave her baby prune juice ( its owrks a little better ) and you can give him as much as needed until he poops .. i had to give my daughter 4 ounces before she went! Also u can give them baby prune food .. that works just like one spoonful usually works for aubree

As young as he is, don't give him more than that in 24 hours, though. It can mess with his electrolites.

YES!!! I still use that trick with my toddler still. I also used that trick when both girls were babies.

It should work...apple juice causes loose stools, so the little bit mixed with water should be just right.

If it doesn't work well enough, maybe do 1 oz water and 1oz apple juice.
