OMG, just got back from seeing that movie, a waste of 18 bucks plus snacks, ughhhh. The commericals had me fooled, wish i saw some of the post b4 going to see it.
I have read all of the books and am plannin on seeing the movie in the next few days. I loved the books so i think i will enjoy the movie
wellhmm i went and saw the movie and i also read the whole series of books. Yes it is based a vampire human love affiar but the story it self i thought was very good. take out the vampires and i dont think people would have ad an issue with it but hey as i say to each their own. The movie could have been a little better but what movie is better than book right.
Yeah but this is Mormon town it just shocked me that 1) they let their children read it and 2) they went and saw the movie with them. My family is mormon and it was interesting to me that my mom wouldn't let my little sister (who is 13) watch meet the parents but she let her see a vampire movie. Too strange.
That's really funny! Everyone has different convictions, though, for sure. Because of my past involvement with witchcraft it is very easy for me to get lured into that stuff and take it to an extreme. So I just stay away. But for others it's just good ol' entertainment! I think it's funny when parents take their kids to rock concerts! That's also very amusing!
Awww joy! :(
What's funny is that I live in Provo, UTAH they are SO religious and conservative here and yet all anyone could talk about was that dang movie. The parents actually went to the movie with their kids last night. It was amusing.
I totally want to see The Changeling!!! I saw a preview for it a couple of months ago and put it on My List. I'm also a bookworm but I'm more selective than I used to be about what I read. Vampire/werewolf/witchcraft books were my faves as a teenager (I was really into witchcraft) but I don't read them anymore for obvious religious reasons. But that's not why I was knocking this series! I just thought they could've made it look better.
I probably won't be able to see Changeling anytime soon because of my recent loss. I'd probably bawl and sob my eyes out the entire time.
I LOVE little kid books and I have to say that the series was actually pretty good. I'm kinda a book worm though. The movie looked pretty low budget to me as well and although it was better then I was expecting... it wasn't anything I would waste money on. Wanna see a good movie (its sad though) go see The Changling. Now THAT movie is probably going to get an Oscar or two.
Alaysha, thank you! It looks really low budget or something that you'd see on the CW. I haven't read the books but the movie doesn't make me want to.
i've never heard of it, and don't even know what the heck it is
Never heard of that movie I just looked it up. I'll wait for it to be on TV. I haven't gone to the movies for a while though.
My husband works nights and I've been debating if I should go tonight on my own. You think that's a bit weird?
I have never heard of it?
I saw it at midnight last night with my little sisters and all I can say is it deserved the 2 1/2 stars it got. It was the cheesiest movie. The book was a million times better and the acting was bad.
LOL! We have a shirt my sister bought me. It says "Forks Washington. We make it sprinkle so you don't sparkel." I love it!!!
I wouldn't miss it!!! I'm wearing the twlight shirt, and going to a show tonight!!! can't wait!!!!
Yes..... Looks very good..... I actually have quite a few ladies here at work that have read the books too and are SUPER excited to go and see it! I say Heck why not
I reserved my seat already for tonight's showing at the new VIP theater here in town !!!!!!!!!! I can not wait!
Up until the commercials for the movie, I really had no idea what Twilight was. At my library a few months prior, I had seen the hype over this new book "Breaking Dawn", I think. I didn't know what it was all about. Since the commercials, I've learned more about the series and have thought of reading them before seeing the movie. But I probably won't be going to the theater to see it ... I'll wait for the DVD ...I'm sure if my library was freaking about the books, they'll equally freak about the DVD. =D
