BBT rising...normal????

Hi ladies,

This is my first month charting my bbt & testing my CM. I did an OPK this month as well. I figure I Od on either CD 14 or 15.

Ever since CD 14, my bbt has risen every day (CD 14: 97.84...CD 18: 98.49). I know after you O your temp is supposed to go up and if you are pregnant it will continue to stay up after DPO16 or so, but at this rate I will have a fever by the end of my 2ww.

My question is .....How long after you O does your bbt level off ? Just curious to understand what I should be looking for. I know that I don't want my temps to drop in the next week or so though....that would be the bfn sign I do not want.

Thanx ;)

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on this.  This month post ovulation my bbt has been higher than past cycles. I usually am aroun 98.0-98.1 after ovulation, but this month it's been 98.48, then all the way up to 98.75 on 7 dpo.  Anyone ever experienced this?

The dip should occur normally 7 to 12 dpo if you were to have one.  But, as I said, not everyone gets one.  So, if you don't see one, don't get worried.

I really like Fertility Friend.  I think it will give you a lot more information and tips, whereas, the tracker on here is just that....a tracker.  I mean it helps.  Don't get me wrong, but FF gives your tidbits and all kinds of helpful information.  There is a daily tidbit.  And it has an option of looking at other charts like yours.  But you will have to chart for at least 1 month, I would think, before you can look at other charts like yours.  I have learned a lot from that site.  I knew nothing about charting really until I started doing it on there.  Now I feel like I know quite a bit.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will do my best to answer them.  I am always glad to help in any way I can.

meant to say "...difference when charting your temps etc?"

Thanks...that helps alot. Glad to know about the possible implantation dip so I don't completely freak out. :)

Do you happen to know when this "dip" generally occurs (if it occurs at all). Just so I have a time frame to look at..analysis...obsess over....j/k...sort of. ;)

I have logged onto FF and have charted a bit there as well. Not as consistently as on this site though. If I get a bfn this month too I will go full force on both sites. Do you know if being a member makes a huge difference is charting your temps etc?

Thanks again for your imput.

Your temps will fluctuate during this time but should (most times) stay higher than your temp prior to ovulation.  That's normal.  Some (not all) women can experience an implantation dip during their LP.  So, if you see your temp drop a little during this time, don't panic.  If your temp starts to drop at the end of the LP phase, that normally means that your period is on the way.  But your temp will fluctuate during this time.  I will not necessarily rise each day.

I use Fertility Friend for charting as a way of natural family planning.
