BD Position and Chances of Conceiving Question

Kind of embarrassing but I just need to know if anyone has conceived during doggie style position.  I am on CD 10 and am due to ovulate in the next 4-5 days. Me and DH have started the BD schedule (sounds horrible, I know) tonight. We BD'd in the shower because he only had a few minutes before he needed to go to work. I work in the mornings and when I get home I will see him for a few minutes before he goes to work so I'm assuming we will be doing our BD in the shower this month.
Does the doggie style position reduce your chances of conceiving?
Please tell me someone has purposefully fallen pregnant from the doggie style position.

Actually lying elevated (legs in the air and what not) also does nothing. As soon as my husband and I finished I would always go to the bathroom, clean off and shower and still got pregnant, so as long as he ejaculates into you during ovulation that's all you really need.

I agree that position is irrelevant. As long as the penis is in the vagina, you have as good of a chance at conception as any other person does no matter the position.

Remember: sperm actually actively swim, they aren't carried by gravity, and the cervical mucus that our vaginas produce actually provide something of a conduit for the sperm to travel in through the cervix and to the egg....so gravity isn't as big of a factor as you would think.

So..whatever feels comfortable for you! :-) Remember, female orgasm DOES increase your chances because when you orgasm your uterus contracts and will help to draw the sperm into the uterus.....so whatever it takes to get you to "enjoy" the BDing...go for it ;-). :-)

Thanks for your replies. I always thought that missionary with your rear elevated on pillows after is the best position for conceiving.

yes you can....I didn't purposefully fall pregnant that way but it did happen.

It does not reduce the chances of concieving!!!

No positions really lower or raise your odds at all. Many claim they do, but the sperm will still get deposited in the cervix no matter how you try.
