BFP

Last week I took a HPT and it was a BFP! Finally!! For some odd reason i felt like taking another HPT (its been a full week) to see if the line would be darker/would be as dark as the control line, but it wasn't. Is it normal that the line doesn't get any darker?

I totally misread your question too, lol. Thought you said when, not what. If you have one done at 8 weeks you should see a HB, fetal pole and maybe a gestational/yolk sac. If your dates are off you might see less.

They might do one at the office, they might wait till 12 weeks, they might even wait till you're 20 weeks. You'd have to talk to them.

And it can be normal for the test to show positive before the control line comes up. My pregnancy test did that. I hadn't even finished peeing on it when it came up positive.

really? Because that line poped up way before control line appeared. Well that makes me happy. thanks guys, you have made my anxiety a little better. Wish me luck when I see my OB for the first time on June 7th, I should be about 8 weeks then. What should I expect then for the u/s? I know all about the blood work but I'm not sure about to expect for the u/s. This is my 2nd pregnancy but I m/c at 7ish weeks

Looks great to me. Your test line IS darker than the control line. (control is on the right, test on the left) You also need to remember that these tests only look for the hormone, not the amount in it. Congrats on the positive!!
