BH contractions

Well ladies this is my 4th pregnancy and I have had my share of BH with each, and I know they tend to get worse with every pregnancy (for me anyways) My questions is- when do they become false/real labor or should you go in?? For the past few days I have been having quite a few of them, more than 4 an hour. I have never been in labor before 5 cm. I usually slowly dailate up to 5 cm through out my pregnancy with the help of BH and then wham! When I go into labor its fast, the last 2 babies have come within 3 hours. I dont want to go in just to be sent home, honestly I dont have the time for that right now, I was just checked May 1st because of a ton a BH's and I havent started to dailate yet. With my last son I started somewhere around 28 weeks being 1 cm and made it to 40 weeks. I guess I will go in if I dont start feeling better soon, I just need to get through the closing on our house tomorrow first. Also it tends to let up while im resting. If im active thats when my belly hardens up painfully:(

Real contractions are regular, get stronger and can't be stopped my movement or other things. You can also talk and be distracted with BH as with real contractions you can't. good luck!

Thanks ladies! Im going to try and relax, get some sleep and see how things go tomorrow. I have so much going on right now, it would be my luck to go into labor, lol. Unless God has other plans , this will be my last baby. I would hate to see how much worse this could get if I were to have another:( Off to bed (If Dalton cooperates). Thanks again! Nite!

I asked my OB this today because I have always heard that if you have 4 Bh in an hour you should call your doc. He told me that was absolutely ridiculous, that 4 an hour is every fifteen minutes and that is not even close to labor. He said I should only start to worry if they get to be 4 or 5 minutes apart or less and I feel them from my belly all the way into my back.
Ask your doc just to be sure and make sure you are resting and getting plenty of water, dehydration can cause contractions.

I started having BH at 23 weeks, and at 25 had to get a shot to stop them, they were five min apart. I was told before 33 or 36 weeks (can't remember which) to come in if they were ten minutes apart and after 36 weeks when they are 3-5 min apart. If you're only 25.6 weeks, and you're having more than four an hour, I'd go get checked, and stay off your feet as much as possible. I was working a lot of hours as a waitress, always on my feet, that's why I had so many, I got my hours cut back to four a day at twenty five weeks, and I was supposed to take breaks and sit every so often. So, if I were you I'd get checked just to be sure, but if you want/have to wait just keep track of how often they happen and go to hospital if they get ten min or closer, and just to be safe make an appointment as soon as you can, and try to rest more.

Oopps forgot im 25.6 weeks today. I guess I was just wondering if anyone eles has felt like this and went into preterm labor. I never have. My 2nd son came 2 weeks early but thats the earliest I have ever went into labor.
