Thanks mommas(: I was just having a hard time figuring it out.. I thought maybe it was just the baby's position making it feel heavy below but it does feel a bit hard all over at the same time

Your uterus starts having BH contractions actually very early on. You just usually don't feel them until after 25ish weeks usually. I'm now 33 weeks and I feel them alllll the time. It's worse if you're dehydrated. It feels like your stomach gets rock hard for about 30 seconds, and you can feel it a little down low sometimes. Shouldn't be painful, just uncomfortable. If you're having too many period like cramps id tell your OB. Sometimes it can be dehydration, UTI, preterm labor signs, etc. But I've had period like cramps a few times and every time I go in I'm just fine. Can also be baby's position causing pain or discomfort.

Also period like cramps could be a sign of a urinary tract infection. I had two so far during my term

Yes those are Braxton hicks. I was confused on what they were too, until my doctor felt my stomach at an appointment and had to stop and wait till it was done, they should last about 15-30 seconds, completely normal and I found them pretty intriguing for the most part.

I believe the contractions you all are talking about is labor contractions. Braxton hicks contractions are a painless tightening of the abdomen. They can, at times, feel uncomfortable. I started feeling mine around 30 weeks, I am now 39 weeks. The closer you get to your due date the more you will feel them.
