my mother in law did throw a shower for me. it was the worst day of my life, i did not know most of them , but i suck it up , did put a smile on my face , it could be bad , or maybe its not going to be that bad. i had noone from my side in that shower , that was harder , tell ur mom or sister or close family to definatly comes , that way u can have some support . by the way i got bunch of junk and baby girl cloth , even they did know that my baby is a boy . u will have fun on returening them to store :) best of luck
Cnhauk is right. But you really should get to know his family better. Your having a baby with him, and thats your childs family as well as his. Good Luck! Also baby stuff is expensive...Id take all the help I could get!
You could mention to your mom and his mom that you want it to be easy for everyone and maybe if they wanted to work together to throw one shower, that would be best? You appreciate what they want to do for you, but you don't want people going out of their way to plan 2 showers. Make it seem like you're thinking about them and their convenience over your own uncomfortableness.
Good luck! I've got a mom, step-mom and mother-in-law, so I've got some awkwardness myself to deal with. I definitely feel you there!
