I think the fact that he did try to bully you like that, and make the threats he did, should still give you pause. I'd at least have a discussion about it, and probably make a backup plan just in case. Guys show us who they are, it's our responsibility to listen, especially when there's a baby involved. And he may have more resources but if you're a good mom that has weight, so don't give in to his bullying ever, that's b.s. that he said that stuff. I'd probably find family who I could at least potentially live with, in the event that something did happen between you guys. Never depend on somebody who has just said that they're willing to drop you out of not just theirs but your child's life.

Why are men so selfish?? He should go outside to smoke...no "if, ands or buts!!" This is a no brainer...if its too cold to smoke outside...then quit!! Men can be so childish... you are absolutely right in asking him not to smoke in the house...its not fair to anyone else...dont let him bully you into feeling wrong...HE IS WRONG!! I would put my foot down about it.

You should try to get him understand that at this time the.babys lungs are in development and its crucial for you to not even be able to smell it. You have to step it up and notch and decide who is more important. clImbing a whinney beep about it or your babies lungs and development. You can not be around it if you don't want to take the chance. At the same time make sure you don't raise your voice in anyway or he will feel as though you are attacking him and make you feel like the bad one for what ever reason. Guys love to turn the tables for their own greedy purposes so they don't have to feel bad about anything. step up and be firm.

you need to get the smoke out of the house second hand smoke is worse for the person inhaleing it, its his choice to smoke not yours, your babies or your sons, he needs to stop being selfish and get his butt outside if hes so desperate for one, bringing a baby into a house where there are smokers or even have been, increases the risk significantly of sids, explain this to him and maybe organise  for your doctor or midwife (without his knowledge if
necessary) to go thru it with the both of you if/when he can go to an appointment with you

Don't worry sweety when i was pregnant my husband and i had the same problem with smoking in the house and i eventually won the battle with help from my MIL.
Try to ask a friend or family member to speak to him.

Well the topic actually turned into the worst fight ever and alot came out that I never knew. Its like hes a stranger to me now. He said that I find the negative with him all the time and if we break up then he will.do.whatever he has to to have the baby taken away from me and im so scared now because.its my baby and I would never do tht to a person. He works full time, great backround, very smart and I have bad credit and only am wprking pt time because I cant afford.babysitting, so I do look like the less fit parent so now im so scared. I woulda never thought he would turn out like that :(

Second hand smoke is equally as dangerous. I couldn't quit with my 2nd child & she was born a whopping 9lbs BUT she had extremly low oxygen, I almost lost her. It was terrible, she spent seversl days in the nicu. Its terrifying to give birth & your baby can't cry bc of low oxygen. It was bc I couldn't quit smoking. So this time around I quit cold turkey. I don't plan on picking the habit back up. On the other hand my sister smoked a pack a day & her kids had low birth weight but breathed just fine.

I wish I could do that but we live in a trailer....i get that its cold out but I dont like how he makes me feel when I asked him to not do it in the house. Our bed sheets smell like a smokestack and the smell is making me nauseus....

You shouldn't. He needs to smoke outside. It stinks & is a very nasty habit, also harmful to you & bean & your 6 yr old. I smoked prior to this pregnancy, out side ONLY! I felt if I smoked inside it wasn't fair to my kids. I quit cold turkey. I get livid when someone smokes around my kids!! Tell him he can kill himself, but ya'll don't want to suffer from his stupidty & he needs to kindly step outside or kick the habit!!

My husband and I are in the same boat!  We came to a compromise and set up an exhaust fan in our basement and he smokes there during the winter.   It keeps the smoke away from me and he isnt outside freezing.
