I'm so stressed out about finances idk what to do. I was relying on getting food stamps so that me, my boyfriend, and my baby can survive while I'm on maternity leave. He works but he's going to have to pay for rent and all the bills while I'm not working. Idk what we're going to do cause I got rejected. I have $18 to my name and haven't even had the baby yet. I'm so upset Idk what I can do. Even if I did fight and win the case, I still wouldn't get anything for months and I don't have that kind of time. :(

you need too see a case worker.. or type in food stamps in ____(your state)
and the website will tell you how much you can make a month, and how much you could recieve if you make under this amount.

Yea try goin in person to the office its a pain but that might be better. Nd i recieve unemployment becus im a cna nd i do homecare for the elderly when my job found out i was prego they cut my hours to like 5 hrs a week so i applied for partial unemployment nd i got approved.

You should go into the office...you may have to sit there for awhile but I was able to see someone and got my card the same day.

Thats crazy..where do u live?? Wen I found out I was pregnant I applied the next day nd was accepted the very next week just cause I was preggo.. they prorated me foodstamps for the rest of the month.. nd I even got Wic right away also..

I seriously had to apply like six times before I got accepted. Persistence is the key with welfare. It's ridiculous but worth it.

I have wic but I didn't get any benefits this month I guess because I'm due this month. I'm not going to get anything else from them till I have the baby

I was told you couldn't recieve unemployment on leave because technically you still have a job. But I definitely feel your pain because I have no income of my own whatsoever. My boyfriend works, but I hate to see him doing it all on his own.

Because they said I didn't send in all the information but I don't see how because the application was filled completely, I answered all the questions on the phone interview, and I sent in 4 check stubs and a copy of my drivers license like they asked. Monday I'm going to call them and see if they'll tell me exactly what I missed.

Yu can try WIC or food pantrys for now i kno its hard my bf works thru a temp agency so sometimes he'll go a week or two with out workin luckily i recieve unemplyment for the time bein. Its not much but it helps. Yu can always try nd apply for unemployment too. Good luck hope things get better
