Birthcontrol Question Ortho tri cyclen

Hi, Just wondering if anyone out there can help me! It'd probably be more simple to contact my doctor, but whatever it's one in the morning. Ok, So im on my second pack of birthcontrol and I missed the three blue pills before Id hit the green pills. On the third day of the missed pill I was spotting which was when I was supposed to start anyway, but it was super light, so I took a pregnancy test, suprisingly it turned out negative. And So later that night my bf came in me, he knew all about everything, the next day I took two pills, & Ive been cramping since ive took those pills, and now Im feeling loss of appetite and nausea. Does this mean Im pregnant or something worse?

Also, please don't take offense at this, but you should take some responsibility for yourself in this situation. You are on birth control, so I am assuming you do not want to get pregnant at this time, right? If you know that you are off your pill schedule, it is in your best interest to ensure you are protected from pregnancy. Saying your BF knows about the situation is fine for him, but you are the one left dealing with an unplanned pregnancy if it happens. Look out for yourself, and if you are significantly off your pill schedule, insist on a condom. Using the pill is only using birth control if you stick to your schedule. Don't let yourself be a victim of the situation! Best wishes!

I took ortho tricyclene for 12 years. It is a good medication, but you have to really stick to your schedule. Being late here or there is not so bad, but missing several days (3 or more) can be hard on your cycle and cause unusual bleeding, cramping, heavy periods, etc. especially missing the pills toward the end of the cycle. I think it is unlikely that you are pregnant, but the only way to know is to wait & see if your period is late & take a test. Do not let strange symptoms stress you out, as they are to be expected at this point. You are literally playing with your hormone levels & that alone will cause side effects. If you are going to rely on a hormone birth control, you have to be willing to commit to sticking to the schedule or you will most likely be miserable. Unless you are actively trying to get pregnant, maybe condoms would be a better option? Good luck!

I was on that pill and got so many messed up side effects.. i would get sharp stabbing pains in my sides, tons of break through bleeding ,etc...\

i evenually switched... Since you were not taking the pills as perscribed, there is a chance pregnancy could have occured...

You're probably just about to have a really gnarly period. I was on ortho, and it's very effective. If you happened to conceive, you most likely bypassed implantation. You should be fine :)
