Bladder infections/ antibiotics?

How bad can a bladder infection be in pregnancy. I've had one since I found out. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow. I always have them my whole life. I'm a bartender and can never go pee when I have to :( my doctor keeps giving me an antibiotic but im scared to take it. I won't even take Tylenol. But the nurse at my doctors office just called bad bc I never picked up the last prescription. And is calling in another one right now. Are they ok. How bad can a bladder infection be too my baby?

I found out I had a bladder infection a couple weeks ago. The doctor gave me antibiotics & told me to drink lots of water & cranberry juice. I go back to the doctors this Friday, I'm hoping everything got better

I had bladder infections in the beginning of my pregnancy and my doctor said that if I didn't treat my infection there's a chance I could go into preterm labor. She said it was pretty serious... I would take the meds and get it cleared. Also because I had a few she ended up giving me a pill to take every night before sleeping to make sure I didn't get any more. Goodluck. Hope this helped... Please consider taking the meds... The doctors wouldn't prescribe something if it wasn't alright for your baby too. It shouldn't harm baby at all but you not taking it might end up hurting your little one. Sorry if this is too blunt.

I got macrobid when I was 20 weeks pregnant and my baby is fine.  He is 5 months now. Not treating it may only cause more pain and more serious infections like a_brooks said.

I was on antibiotics for a bladder infection I didn't even know I had.  They say the infection could cause more problems then the antibiotics. (I guess preterm labor is the risk with a bladder infection)I've been taking cranberry pills since the infection to try to prevent future infections.  Most importantly drink plenty of fluids.

I Was Told That Bladder Infections Can Lead To preterm Labor. I Have Them Regularly And They Were Actually Part Of the Problem I Had Trying To Get Pregnant For Almost A Year With No Luck. They Can Get SeveRe Enough To Put You In The Hospital And Can Also Lead To A Kidney Infection Which Can Ultimately Result In infection In Your Blood Stream And Affecting Your Entire Body.
