Bleeding at 37 weeks

I am 37 weeks pregnant and I just got done using the restroom and I am bleeding heavily but I cant pin point if it is from my urine or rectum. What could this be.

IF I WERE YOU, ID GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND ASK FOR A SECOND OPINION!!!! THAT IS NOT, I REPEAT, NOT NORMAL!!!!
Moms know best and if YOU feel that its not normal, they CANNOT refuse you at a hospital!!! As for the no explanation, I wouldnt leave until they explained it to me and made sure I was comfortable with the whole thing!!!!  I'll keep you in my prayers. Please stay off your feet and dont be up overdoing it in the meantime!!!

jessyboy07: Thank you I will keep yall posted. My doctors appointment is tomorrow at 11:15am so hopefully he will schudle an induction. I will def come home if he sends me to the hospital from the office. I have to wait for DH to come home. He has to go through every little pain with me. HEHE

please keep us posted,,rest as much as you can, and put your feet up....dont stress your body and dont stay up for long periods of time. be careful...ill be praying for you!

I hope they give me an u/s also, but I am not going to get my hopes up... I feel very neglected when it comes to prenatel care lately... I am just going to rest for the rest of the weekend and hopefully my doctor can give me some input on what this may be or just induce. I knowit may be a longer more intense labor but I am concerned about my little one and if it takes an induction for a healthy baby then it is worth all the pain in the world... i just hope they give you an u/s!!!!  they need to check after the bleeding to make sure everything's ok in there!!!!  good luck through the rest of the weekend...  and make sure you rest alot!

Hey yeah I am still feeling the baby move a ton and I am really crampy right now... Hmmm. I cant go to another hospital, unfourtionally my insurance only covers the one that I have been going to. I hate the night staff they always act like your bothering them... I dont know what I am going to do. I am going to take my mom with me to my doctors appointment on Monday because she goes to my OBGYN also and he listens to her.... I am so aggervated I hope she can help influence him to procede with a induction...

i would go back or to a different hospital, there is no way they should've let you go home withou even doing a scan. Are you still feeling the baby like normal?

I Agree with Kennedy Linz, if i was in your position i would either ask for a second opinion, demand they do a scan and if that doesnt work go to another hospital and explain whats going on!!!! That and call your midwife.

that scares me too!!!  they should be very willing to answer all of your questions especially about something so serious.  i don't understand why they wouldn't do a scan if they suspected something like an abruption!!!  is there any way of possibly going to another hospital or something.  i know you said the bleeding stopped...  have you spoken w/ your ob or a nurse from their office since you've been home about your worry and concern?

Hey No the doctor is not in on Weekends and the bleeding has stopped but what really scares me is the fact the nurse mentioned to my DH while I was getting a urine specimen that it may be a placental abruption... They didnt even do a scan or anything.... I am really worried about my little one although the strip looked perfect I am still concerned... I am going to beg my doctor to induce me this week.  I am so ticked that they didnt give me any input about where the bleeding is comming from and why it started with a big clot on Thursday and a huge mount of blood on Friday. What is it going to be tonight.... I am so irratated... And to make matters worse the house doctor was ignorant to me all night......

linzola, i don't understand why they would act like that with you bleeding that much!!!!  that's awful!  it supposed to be considered an emergency when you're bleeding like that during pregnancy (it even says that when i call my doc's office after hours on their message!)  when you said you have an appt i hope you mean today!  does your doc see you on weekends?  i hope everything is ok!  please update asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Labor and Delivery and after a hour sent me home.... There was a lot of blood, but they acted like they didnt want me there and I got sent home. They gave me no explanition as to why yesterday I passed a clot and today there was so much blood.... It serosisly looked as though I started my peroid. I am really concerned. I have a doctors appointment and I am really going to try to find out what this could be.... Maybe I will just beg him to induce me. He said he was going to do it at 39 weeks but I know it is not normal to bleed like this.... Why do they not seem to care about you when you go to L&D>

Omg are you alright?? I think you should go to L and D. Its better to be on the safe side....you have been having so many problems lately that your little one might just come early:)

I am so glad your dh was there for you!  Are you having any pains or anything? 37 weeks is pretty darn close to your due date...do you think you should go to the hospital?  Did they mention anything like this would happen?  I hope everything is okay!  Good luck and hang in there...baby is almost here!

no I didnt strain... I was sent to L&D yesterday because I passed a bright red clot. They said it was nothing. It looked like it was more from my urine because there was a lot of it
