Bleeding then 3 positive home hpt and negative at MD

So my last regular LMP 5/24, my husband and I are trying to conceive. Around the first week in June I started feeling sick, cramps, and no period. Nausea, back aches, mood swings. No positive HPT. June 19, started spotting then heavy bleeding (no clots) for one day then spotting for 4 more. Still not feeling right. 6/25 HPT, positive, 6/26 two different brand HPT positive. Went to MD yesterday and their urine was negative. Sent me for blood work, HCG levels came back 135, need to go back tomorrow for second level. Won't know results until Thursday.  Anyone have similar experience? I'm freaking out but we don't want to tell anyone, afraid its bad luck. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Google hcg doubling calculator..  and put in the dates of the blood draws and the results.. it will tell you what your doubling time was ....

From my understanding.  5-1200 = 48 hours
1200-6000 is 72-96 hours
and 6000 or more is 96 hours +

But these varies.. I know there have been some people on here with slow rising HCG who have gotten good news at the end of thier journey.. I wish they would post on this.. But there are other people who got the opposite..

Good luck

Ok, I got my third level back, we are at 706.3. I am still waiting (for two days now) for my MD to call me about results. Ih have actually made appointment with another practice because I am so unhappy. I went to the lab to pick up my results myself to bring to the new MD. I know the number is supposed to double every 48  hours, so since there was six days between my two results, I'm thinking this is not good. I'm not really sure how the math works but I'm thinking of the second draw was 207 then six days later it should be 1600. Which I am far far away from.....Any thoughts?

That's what I thought, nurse practioner said she just wants to recheck and make sure its keeps going up. I read an article that some MDs dont even check that number once they get a positive and that some women double every 72-96 hours so I'm hoping I'm one of them. MD said they cant do an US until my number hits 2000 and they will be able to tell if its viable or not with US. I go Tuesday for next level, fingers crossed the number jumped way up. Thanks for your support. I'll keep you posted.

At this point, it is all speculation. Until the second hCG test comes back, there is no way to say if this is a viable pregnancy or if it was something else. In a viable pregnancy, the hCG levels double about every 48 hours so you can compare the two tests and see if they are increasing at the expected rate...or not.

The bleeding COULD have been implantation bleeding...the doctor's urine test may have been defective (it SHOULD have picked up an hCG level of 135).

Best wishes for you! (((hug))) Hang in there!
