Bleeding while pregnant.

Ok i need some serious help! I just found out a week ago i was pregnant. My dr. appt is Nov. 3rd. OK well i just had my period the week before i found out the news and now its been two weeks since my period and ive been spotting since then. Is this normal?

It's rare for women to ever get a true period during pregnancy. Was the bleeding proper and lasted as long as usual? If not, it's unlikely it was a period. To have a true menstrual cycle would mean you have to ovulate, and you wouldn't have gotten a positive test the week after. I'd see a doctor for a beta blood test to check your hCG levels.

Women DONT have a period during pregnancy,A period is shedding of the lining when conception hasnt occured.However women can bleed during pregnancy but its not a period.was it a period you had the week before or was it just spotting,if this is the case it was likly implantation bleeding,somthing else which isnt common.

many women spot during pregnancy, some women even have their period, but if you are very concerned and think something is wrong, and considering with blood something can be wrong, call your doctor to get an appt faster and if he cannot see you, go to the emergency. because this can be something serious or something that isn't.

You cannot have a period while you are pregnant, so the bleeding you experienced and thought was your period was probably something else. As Spiket said, I don't think it's possible to have your period and a positive hpt only a week later. Was the bleeding similar to your regular period? Heavy flow, clots, and cramps? Heavy bleeding happens during pregnancy but it can be a bad sign. I think you should take another HPT just in case, then call your Dr and tell them about the bleeding and 2 weeks of spotting. Maybe they'll want to see you sooner.

I'm confused on how you had your period a week before you found out you were pregnant? Women usually don't ovulate that quickly and then implantation takes about another week. So, it wouldn't even show up on a HPT till at least a week after ovulation. Are you sure you are in fact pregnant?
Some light bleeding can be normal in early pregnancy. If it is accompanied with cramping then go to your doctor.
