I'm 19 eeks had an appointment a wk& a half ago. I have blood work done and they were just checking to see if the baby was at risk forDown syndrome. I got a call about 5 days later everything was normal I'm only 28 years old so I knew it wasn't going to be a issue because I prayed about it but it was covered by my insurance so I went along with it. I am going to be getting my anatomy ultrasound next Friday.

After my second ultrasound my doctor said that I need blood work. They took three tubes and he said he was testing for any diseases or anything that could hurt the baby. I was 10 weeks at the time.

Not much at all! Im a nursing student, so I like to watch, but they are always more gentle when you'reppregnant and if u tell them you dont like needles they will be even more cautious and talk you through it. And u definitely wanna let them know, it'll help you get through it, I promise! :)

Thank you!! I'm worried cause I hate needles and getting my blood drawn. Plus I feel nauseas all the time and I'm afraid I'll throw up from being nervous haha. Just wanted to get an idea of how much they take!

When I had my blood work done, they checked to make sure my iron levels were good, along with my hormone levels being where they should be
