Bloody Show Along With Contractions

I've been having contractions for almost 24 hours now.. Earlier I noticed a little bloody mucous on the TP when I wiped but not very much.. Then that was it.. Up until 3am (2 hours ago) I'm noticing more bloody show on the TP when I wipe and everytime I pee. And I am still having contractions. I don't think it's unbearable as yet to go to the hospital but I was just wondering if this is a good sign.. To be having the bloody show and also having contractions?

I've been looking it up online and it says bloody show is the beginning of labor? And can take anywhere from a few HOURS to DAYS (72 hours) which I hope not.

If you had the bloody show how long did true labor take to start?

I'm just getting very excited... but don't wanna get my hopes up

With one labor I had bloody show the same day as I went into labor, another time I had it off and on for four days before I went into labor.  If you are having contractions, that's a good sign.  Are they consistent or sporadic.  If they are coming at regular intervals and increasing in intensity/duration, then that's a very good sign too.  The fact that your bloody show is increasing is also a good sign.  Sounds like you're gonna have that baby very soon :)
