Braxton HIcks contractions

I didn't experience BH contractions with my first pregnancy, at least not that I'm aware.  My body didn't do any preparations on its own that time - at each internal exam leading up to my due date, I was 0 cm dilated and 0% effaced....I ended up being induced at 41 weeks to get things going.

I'm 30 weeks now and have yet to experience a contraction.  Does every woman have BH contractions, especially with a second, third, etc. pregnancy?  How common is it to have them?

Just curious...Thanks!

Hello,

I dont think that every woman has them or can feel them.  I didn't have them with my first, second, or third baby but did have them with my fourth and now my fifth.  My fifth is far worse than the fourth too....it ***** so badly!

Good luck with your new addition!

I had them with my first pregnancy and again with this one - although I think they are worse with this one...

I don't think every p/g woman has them but it is pretty common to have them - Does that make sense? Maybe you could ask your OB at your next appt.? Sorry I couldn't be more help!!
