I think it's all a matter of degree. They don't hurt nearly as much as labor, lol, though they can be very uncomfortable. :)
Indeed girlie what your experienceing is the well known BH..it gets worse.dont panic though..
im just 20 weeks and 4 days. I sometimes feel my abdoman geting so hard like i have swollowed a basket ball. then it dissapears.. could this be BHs?
my braxton hicks dont hurt! There I'm one of those they write about in books lol
LOL, thanx for all the insight. I thought I was going crazy when they hurt or that it might be something else. I have been having them all day today and they are not fun! Ahh the joys of pregnancy, then motherhood :)
HA! BH contractions hurt!!! I've been having them since 13wks (now almost 34) and most of mine hurt, but some do not... at my last sono at 28wks, my little girl was head down also but she also had her feet at her head. I'm pretty sure she's still head down as she's still sitting pretty low...
Another thing about those books - none of them tell you that your contractions can start at any # of minutes apart (Started at 2min apart with our son!!!)! So yeah, someone really needs to redo these books lol!!! Good Luck!
Of course they hurt!!! A man dr must of came up with that one.
Like three weeks ago i went to the er with contractions and he said I had IBS and would not feel my uterus contract!!! WTF
I asked him if my uterus was a muscle and he said yes, then I asked if he felt when he got an erection and he said of course. Then I said well I think I know when my uterus is contracting too! DUH Gesh were do they come up with these things?? You think they would of taken that fasle stuff out of the books by now.
Ha ha to those books you read. BH DO hurt! I thought I was going into labor or DS was flipping (he was breech).
Hiya im not far ahead of you.and been experiencing lots of BH.. some hurt some dont,my babys head is already head down, his tummy towards my back which is normal.the little one can still change postition.
