Breastfeeding question.

My son is two days old, we just got home yesterday. While I was in hospital I was taking percocet and Motrin for pain and I was sent home with oxycodone and ibuprofen.  I am strictly breastfeeding. While in the hospital only my colostrum was coming out.. now my milk has come in and I'm thinking that the pain meds are in my milk bc every time my baby eats he is knocked out cold after only eating for a few minutes, nothing wakes him except a diaper change.. he wakes up to eat again and then will go right back to sleep. He has literally been eating and sleeping all day. Is this okay?

Totally normal. I didn't take anything and my DD was like this. She would sleep all day, wake to eat and fall asleep on the breast. Totally normal.

Haha your baby will do this for awhile its normal. But I was tikd I could only take motrin when I went home because I'm breastfeeding. But every doctor is different. But its normal.

Yes this is normal. Remember the hospital and your doctor won't prescribe you anything that would harm the baby. My baby girl is 2 weeks old and she still does the same thing. Babys sleep about 20 hours a day
