Bright Red Bleeding, No Abdominal Pain?

This is my first pregnancy, so I'm quite terrified of everything that could even SEEM wrong.

I had normal light pink/brown spotting last night and so I talked to my mom and aunt about it...
They told me not to worry until it turned a bright red.
Well, this morning, there was blood in my urine and when I wiped, it was a bright red...
A nurse told me that I should be alright unless it increases or until I get abdominal pains, but I'm still worried...
Should I go to the E.R.?

When you miscarry you will know it! You will have such bad cramping and you will bleed so bad you will need a new pad every hour. I bled lightly up until I was about 17-18 weeks because of increased blood to my vagina

I miscarried...
But fortunately, me and my boyfriend have recovered and tried again and I am now six weeks pregnant again. :)

Er can't do anything and is a waste of time this early in pregnancy unless you are bleeding so heavy you fill a pad every hour. The doctors in the er are not obgyns and they will only give you an answer of "threatened miscarriage". The best thing to do is hold out tomorrow until you can see your doctor and get an ultrasound and have your levels tested. Anytime you bleed in pregnancy you have a 50-50 chance of the pregnancy continuing. With my first pregnancy I spotted pink for a day and then it stopped. No cramping or anything weird. Had an ultrasound 3 weeks later and the baby had stopped developing and my body just didn't miscarry on its own. My next pregnancy I started bleeding worse then a period at 5 weeks. Bright red and with cramps. It lasted for 5 weeks and then just randomly stopped and my pregnancy continued as normal and my daughter is now 4. Unfortunately you just never know.
