Brown Discharge, Five Weeks Pregnant 17 and worried
So march 7th marked the last of my period, which usually doesn't start until the 9th of the month so it was wierd that it started on the 3rd, any way, took a test on the 7th of April cus my period should have started April 2nd never came... It was positive!! Yay!!! Took more all positive! I'm supposedly 5 weeks, but haven't been to dr because I'm 17 and my parents would find out, anyway I've been having light yellow brown sporting on toilet paper associated with no pain two days ago,then yesterday it fell in toilet, only very little, and when wiped it was darker brown, again no pain, still says I'm pregnant on test but I'm worried that it signals a m/c this is my first pregnancy, and the brown discharge liked a little milky and it smells a little like normal vaginal odor but has a dry or bloody smell to it. It's not alot at all but I'm worried that I'm losing the baby.... What is it? Is it normal? Had anyone else experience this, what should I do?

The ER can't refuse anyone no matter your age... I'd complain to the hospital. And also, you can make appointments being under 18. They legally cannot tell your parents any medical information unless you sign a form consenting them to or verbally tell them. My mom works in the medical field so and I used to get birth control secretly from my physician at age 15! Is definitely complain or tell them your situation. Especially at the emergency room at a hospital. They couldn't refuse a 5 year old if one walked in needing to be seen without parents
I was my parents "angel" too..was 14 when i had my daughter..it's a terrifying thing but in the long run your parents will eventually get over it, i told my mom first and after the tears she eventually accepted it and now it's 6 years later and I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my second.
Taking a pregnancy test even when you're miscarrying will come up positive because your HCG levels are still high, so pregnancy test can't determine wether you're miscarrying or not.
Thanks for all the advice, the reason I wouldn't tell them is because they would kill me, I'm their angel .-. And I'd have to tell them because I went to the ER today and they said they wouldn't yay me without parents permission????? I don't understand how they can't do anything, anyways the bleeding or whatever it is stopped,I took pregnancy test and it's positive still but lighter than the rest :\ o hope my baby will be okay
You need to go get checked out not in all pregnancies is brown spotting normal in my case when I had brown spotting I miscarried it's always better to be safe than sorry and let your doctor decide if it is normal or not nows not the time to stress on what your family is going to think it's too late for that you should have been thinking about that before you got pregnant now you need to stand up be an adult tell them and get checked out
Im 17 and pregnant aswell with my first baby. I was afraid of telling my mom. So i had to ditch school so i can go to my doctor appointments.it was really stressing. You should tell your parents asap so you could go to the dr. Your babys health is more important than anything else.
My expected period was 02/23 but I had started bleeding light pink 02/18 (5days early) whuch threw up a white flag for me because IM NEVER EARLY and it didnt smell like a period and wasnt heavy what so ever so about two weeks later I started brown spotting at 4/5 weeks pregnant I believe itw just old blood nothing to ne alarmed bt I only had it when I wiped...so best thing is to tell your parents Im 20 I was so scared telling my mom because I still live with her bt you have to put your babies health first!!
I was 17 when I was pregnant with my first. I think first thing would be to tell your parents that way you can see a Doctor. Making sure your baby is safe and healthy is more important then the fear of your parents plus they will get over it.
Why would your parents find out if you went to the doctors? They legally can't tell your parents anything if you're over the age of 12! If you transportation is an issue maybe confide in a friend to help you out and schedule something (: congrats! And brown blood is usually old blood so you're probably fine, but definitely schedule an appointment
On Friday I went to the ER and they told me it was perfectly normal. They said as long as I didn't have blood clots or pain then there isn't anything wrong with my baby. I also had brown spotting which only showed up on the toilet paper, and little on my underwear. It didn't fall into the toilet though. You should go to the hospital just to be safe, they'll most likely give you an ultrasound to make sure everything is good.
I had brown discharge at the start of my pregnancy I went straight to hospital and had an emergency scan done and everything was fine, brown blood means old blood but I would get checked for sure.
dnt think its anitn serious..it looks like old blood..its normal..but prenatal care is very importnt dear..
Also there may be a planned parent good clinic near u that would see you the first time at least with out your parents
