CHARLIE HORSE!! Holy moly!!

Wow! That was intense! And a first for me. I switch sides a lot during the night and during one of my shifts I also stretched/flexed out my legs and feet. Don't do that!!! I woke up screaming! Charlie horse in my right calf. Scared the you know what out of my hubby! I had no idea what to do- I probably looked crazy! I was shaking my leg in the air and massaging it all while screaming! It only lasted probably a minute or less but felt like 5 minutes!!
Its 3am and Im wide awake now... guess ill make a trip to the kitchen!! ;)

I was freaking out! I had no idea what was going on as i was sleeping and I've never experienced one before! I read to drink water and eat bananas, but i do so Im just going to be more careful when stretching!!
@Third- that's exactly how i sleep too and how it happened!
@Amber- couldn't even imagine that pain in my groin... ouchy!!

I get these alot at night too. I sleep on my side with my legs kinda bent up, and when i roll over and stretch out, wham!! Those cramps sting like hell, almost make me wanna cry! Never experienced these before pregnancy.

I hate them. I get them at the very least 1 time a week. All u have to do is place your foot straight on the ground. I'm 37 weeks and my baby is so low that I am getting Charlie horse like pains in my groin area

Yeah they're the worst! I did the same thing and it hurt for a few days after that luckily I haven't got another one but they're coming I'm sure

i suffered with cramp from 35weeks plus.. every morning id get it.. felt like my calf muscle had jumped up behind my knee.. lol.. i think they say drink barley water for it x
