Oh sorry I didnt see that u were the same person who commented earlier in the post ! So they never asked u in ur first pregnancy to sweep ur membranes? I think he just asked me because I'm just a couple days away from my due date
Is this your first pregnancy? I'm a ftm and since Im close to being due, he asked to sweep my membranes which he said would bring on labor from 24-48 hours from that point. I don't know exactly what he said , but he said something like he would just scrape off lining from in there by the cervix and it would bring on labor.
I've never had my doctor or anyone ask me If I wanted to get my membranes swept at an appointment. What does that mean?
How long have u been having the irregular contractions ?
How long have u been having the irregular contractions ?
With my 1st I had no Braxton hicks just back pains. The day of my dude date I was have pains but I thought I was constipated (tmi) then the morning I was going in to be induced I had this bad back pain thay kept coming and going and once I got hooked up i found out I was indeed in labor. This time around is a whole different ball game my baby girl is stalling but is making me have irregular contractions I cannot sleep well
Thank you ladies seriously, because I know that sometimes women DON'T notice they are in labor so it's nice to know what I could expect.
Oh thank u ladies. They asked me if I wanted to have my membranes sweeped at my appointment, but since I'm trying to have a natural labor, I wanted my body to do everything naturally.
Lol I Was Anxious To Meet My Son I Had.My Doc Induce Me Early I Couldn't Believe She Said Yes But I Wasn't Prepared For No Sleep And The.Baby.Blues It Was Really Hard On Me When Its Your First Your Constantly Worrying About Your Baby It Takes A Toll On You Just Let It Happen On Its Own Don't Rush Being Into labor
With my first pregnancy I didn't know I was in labor until I went to the hospital due to blood in my urine just to find out I was dilated to an 8.
The Bh and real labor contractions felt the same to me. I guess you can say I had a high pain tolerance. Everyone is different and all i can say is Good Luck. Stay calm because if you start to freak out you scare the baby as well.
Ya I've been preparing myself through my whole pregnancy. I've told myself, that I'm bringing a life into this world and it will be worth all the pain I go through. I just can't wait for that first contraction! I need him here. I love my baby already

I'm not scared of the pain. I actually get excited when I get any sort of pain, because it means I'm going to meet my baby soon. I just want to know what to expect with the first contractions. Like if they hurt enough to where I'll know that I'm actually in labor and if they come out of nowhere. I just want to hear SOMEONES experience.
