Can I at least go into labor??
if I have to have a routine scheduled c section again can the doctor at least let me go into labor then do a c section? Has any one heard of this or is this just my wishfull thinking?? I just want to VBAC if there is no apparant reason to do the c section??? Any opinions would on vbac would be great.. Thanks...

This all depends on the reason for your previous c-section. I had one with my first and have since had FOUR VBAC's and we're planning on the same with this pregnancy. Also there are some doctors who will NOT do VBAC's becuase of the risks/insurance costs etc. Then there are hospitals who have a no VBAC policy. You should check out "ICAN online" if you type that into your search engine it will bring it up. It's the international cesarean awareness network. It has some really good info.
I think it might depend on why you had your last c-section. There's a lot of doctors who refuse vbac because of the apparent risk. Statistically, 60-80% of women who try VBAC are able to deliver vaginally, but you have to make sure you're able. If they did your last c-section in a certain way it may not be possible. If it's something you want to try, ask a few doctors and see if you're a candidate for it.
why is it that you have to do a csection??? I know alot of doctors will not allow a woman to try a VBAC if the hasnt been alot of time between csections and the scar tissue isnt healed properly. But other than that I would talk to your doctor.
