Can heart bit rate tell you the baby’s sex?

Hi all,

An ultrasound technician told me that, I am going to have a boy at 21st weeks. And heart bit rate was 136- 137 per minutes. Is it possible to have a boy like that heart bit rate?

Best regards,
Sue

My dh was convinced that we were having a girl when we had a ultrasound at 10 weeks because the heartbeat was high...at 19 weeks we found it was a girl.  The tech said that the whole heart beat is old wives tale although girls' heartrate is usually on the higher rater as they get older but all babies are the same in the beginning.  at 19 weeks, her heartrate was in the 150s.

I agree with the above comment.  The only way to tell gender is with an ultrasound or by examining  the DNA from the bodily fluid of the fetus.

Heart rate has NOTHING to do with the sex.  I've been pregnant with 2 boys and 3 girls and ALL of their heartbeats have been pretty much the same.  It's just an old wives tale.
